16. Gilded Copper Hevajra Statue. Mid 20th Century, Tibet. 10" (25 cm.) high. Solid copper statue with heavy gilding. With eight faces, sixteen hands and four legs, dancing with his consort Vajra Nairatmya. In each hand is a skullcup holding an image of a different deity or animal. Each head has a crown of skulls; he is wearing a lion skin and a necklace of severed heads. $1250. |
